In our 200GT, Proline 21 with IFIS we are having trouble receiving TAF's via our XM weather. We are receiving everything else (Metars, Winds aloft, NEXRAD, etc.) but not TAF's. Miraculously after a call to Sirius XM and Rockwell/Collins asking about the issue, and both denied the issue being theirs, the issued resolved itself....all four aircraft on our field! We like the lunch I knew about the FAs going away thanks to Scott and BT, but I've not heard anything about TAFs going away.We like the lunch Back to the original question on this thread..anyone else having troubles with their PL21 weather, downloading TAF's?
See this table for a full comparison of weather products.
I bought this to "retire" the 496 and clean off my glare shield.
I can't rate the Durability / Reliability as I have only had it a couple of weeks.
I prefer the XM weather over ADS-B but the stratus offers much more than weather so I will continue to use both at the same time.
I've been using the Stratus 2 for the last year in my Lear35, but found that it wasn't living up to the needs of a jet pilot.
